How long does it take from the order to the shipment?

If you choose express delivery, BenasciuttiCasa commits to dispatch available items within 1–2 working days from payment confirmation. For example, if you place your order before 12:00, it will be processed and handed over to the courier on the same day.
If payment for the express shipment is made after 12:00, it will be processed the next working day and shipped shortly after.
If you order on Monday at 3:00 p.m., the courier will deliver to your address (excluding islands and remote ZIP codes) by Wednesday.
If you order on Friday at 2:00 p.m., your purchase will be delivered between Tuesday and Wednesday.
For free standard shipping, delivery takes approximately 3–5 working days after payment has been received.

What are the shipping costs within Italy?

At BenasciuttiCasa, shipping costs are €6.90 for orders up to €89.00; above this amount, shipping is free. You can still choose to have your order sent via paid express courier or use standard shipping. The fixed cost is shown directly in the cart at checkout. In the case of cash-on-delivery payments under €90, an additional small fee is required. Shipping costs are charged only once per order, regardless of the number of packages. Some promotions also offer free shipping through the use of a coupon at checkout. Please note that these conditions apply only to shipments within Italy. International shipping rules vary depending on the destination country.

What kind of shipment do you use?

We mainly use express couriers. If the delivery area is considered "remote", we will use the Italian Postal Service instead, with delivery in 3–7 working days. Two delivery attempts will be made; if the recipient is absent both times, the parcel will be held at the local courier depot for collection. You will receive an email notification to coordinate delivery or collection.

If I live in a country with customs, such as Norway, who pays the customs duties?

Customs fees and import taxes are always the responsibility of the buyer. We cannot include them in the shipping cost because each country applies different customs regulations and fees depending on the type of goods.

I live in Venice, Piazza San Marco — which courier do you use?

For so-called "remote" or hard-to-reach areas, such as Venice, Elba Island, or Portofino, delivery costs can be quite high. In these cases, we usually ship with the Italian Postal Service (Pacco Celere 3). Only upon specific request do we ship via GLS or SDA express couriers, adjusting the shipping cost even if the order would otherwise qualify for free shipping.

What if the courier comes and I am not at home?

If you are absent at the time of delivery, the courier will leave a notice in your mailbox or near your intercom. The notice will include contact information to arrange a new delivery. If all delivery attempts fail, the parcel will be held at the courier’s depot, and our customer service will contact you by email to provide instructions for releasing it. If we do not receive a response within seven days, the goods will be returned to our warehouse, and we will refund the cost of the items purchased (excluding shipping fees).

Can I provide a different delivery address?

Of course. You can choose an address where someone will surely be available to receive your order. Delivery options include:

- Home address
- Workplace address
- A third-party address
- A business or store address of your choice

When confirming your order, simply indicate the preferred delivery address.

How can I check the shipping status?

As soon as your order is shipped from our warehouse, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with all the details, including a tracking link. Simply enter the tracking number to follow the progress of your shipment. Please note that it may take a few hours for the tracking to become active, as courier databases are usually updated in the evening after 8:00 p.m.

Will the courier contact me before delivery?

No, couriers generally do not make pre-delivery phone calls and cannot guarantee delivery at specific times. We always include any notes provided, but the courier is not obliged to follow them. If you require a delivery at a specific time, please call +39 0532 095309 to arrange it. Please note that this service has an additional cost, entirely at your expense.

What should I do if I am unsure the parcel is intact?

Always check at the time of delivery that the parcel is not damaged or tampered with. If you have any doubt, do not accept the parcel. If you still wish to accept it, make sure the driver writes “Received with reservation” and specifies the issue observed.
If the parcel is accepted without this note, we will not be able to refund any missing or damaged items. All shipments from BenasciuttiCasa are weighed and photographed before dispatch, ensuring the contents are exactly as ordered. We recommend checking that the parcel has not been opened. If the parcel’s weight on arrival differs from the shipping weight, it means it may have been tampered with. Do not accept it.
