How long does it take to ship my order?

If you choose express shipping, BenasciuttiCasa commits to delivering available items within 3-6 working days after payment confirmation. For example, if you place an order before 12 PM, it will be processed and handed over to the courier the same day.
If the payment for an express shipping order is made after 12 PM, it will be processed the next working day.
For instance, if you order on Monday at 3 PM, your package will be delivered by Wednesday (excluding islands and remote areas).
If you place an order on Friday at 2 PM, your package will be delivered between Tuesday and Wednesday.
For free shipping, delivery times are slightly longer.

 

What are the shipping costs within Italy?

On BenasciuttiCasa, shipping costs vary depending on the destination. You can place your order by entering the shipping address, and the cost will be displayed. If the cost does not meet your expectations, you can cancel or stop the order simply by exiting the checkout process. You can also choose between paid express delivery or standard free delivery. A fixed contribution, indicated directly in the cart at checkout, will apply. Cash-on-delivery payments are not available for international shipments. These costs are charged only once per order, regardless of the number of packages shipped. Some purchases may qualify for free shipping.

 

What type of shipping do you use?

In most cases, we use express couriers such as FEDEX and UPS. Two delivery attempts will be made, and if both fail, the package will be held at the local courier depot for collection. You will receive an informative email to coordinate the package collection.

 

If I live in a country with customs, such as Norway, who pays the customs fees?

Customs fees are always the responsibility of the buyer (we cannot include them in shipping costs as we do not know their amount, and each country applies different fees for different products).

 

What should I do if the courier came and I wasn’t present?

If you were absent from the specified delivery location, the courier will leave a slip in your mailbox or near your intercom, notifying their visit and providing a contact number to reschedule delivery. If delivery attempts fail, the package will be stored at the depot, and our customer service team will email you for further instructions. If you do not respond within seven days, the package will return to our warehouse, and only the cost of the purchased items will be refunded.

 

Can I provide a different delivery address?

Absolutely! Provide an address where someone will be available to receive your package. You can choose delivery to:

- Your home address
- Your workplace
- A third party
- A commercial establishment of your choice

During checkout, simply specify the desired delivery address.

 

How can I track my shipment?

As soon as your order is shipped from our warehouse, you will receive an email with a shipping confirmation and a tracking link. Simply enter the tracking number to monitor the progress and estimated delivery time. You will also know which courier was used in case of any issues. Please note that it may take a few hours for your tracking number to be updated in the courier's database, typically after 8 PM.

 

Will the courier contact me before delivery?

Couriers generally do not make pre-delivery calls or accommodate specific delivery time requests. We include any provided notes, but it is at the courier’s discretion to honor them. If you prefer a scheduled delivery, please call +39 0532 095309 to arrange it. The costs for this option are entirely your responsibility and are not insignificant.

What should I do if I’m unsure the package is intact?

Always check the package for tampering or damage upon delivery. If in doubt, do not accept the package. If you decide to accept it, ensure the driver writes "ACCEPTED WITH RESERVATION" and specifies the issue. Without this condition, we cannot refund the contents of the package, even partially. All shipments handled by BenasciuttiCasa are weighed and photographed, ensuring the package contains exactly what you ordered. If multiple items were purchased, verify the package weight carefully. If the received weight does not match the shipping weight, do not accept the package.
